Meridian Cloud Partners is a managed AWS services provider working with mid-market clients migrating from on-prem to cloud-native infrastructure. We're a 35-person company built by former AWS solutions architects, and we're opening a second infrastructure pod based in our Austin office.
About The Role
You'll join our infrastructure pod designing multi-account AWS landing zones for new client onboardings - VPC architecture, IAM boundaries, and cost-optimized compute from the ground up. Most projects are greenfield, so you'll have real design ownership rather than inheriting someone else's decisions.
Responsibilities
- Design and build multi-account AWS landing zones (Control Tower, Organizations, SCPs) for new clients
- Build reusable Terraform modules for common client infrastructure patterns
- Lead cost-optimization reviews for existing client accounts, identifying and right-sizing waste
- Own IAM boundary design across client accounts, balancing security with developer velocity
- Present infrastructure designs directly to client engineering leads
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on AWS infrastructure experience
- Strong Terraform experience, ideally with reusable module design
- Working knowledge of AWS IAM, Organizations, and multi-account architecture
- Comfortable presenting technical designs directly to non-Meridian stakeholders
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Austin, TX area
Desirables
- AWS Solutions Architect Professional certification
- Experience working in a client-facing consulting or managed-services environment
- Familiarity with AWS Control Tower and multi-account governance patterns
